พี่ฟาหลงใหลในการเรียนภาษามาตั้งแต่เด็ก โดยเริ่มเรียนภาษาอังกฤษด้วยการดูการ์ตูนวอลท์ ดิสนีย์ และทำคะแนนวิชาทางภาษาได้ดีมาโดยตลอด ในสมัยม.ปลาย พี่ฟาเลือกเรียนภาษาฝรั่งเศสและสอบชิงทุนรัฐบาลฝรั่งเศสได้เป็นลำดับที่สามของประเทศ จากนั้นเข้าเรียนที่คณะอักษรศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เอกภาษาสเปน และจบการศึกษาด้วยเกียรตินิยม ในระหว่างที่เรียนอยู่ชั้นปีที่สอง ได้เริ่มสอนพิเศษภาษาอังกฤษให้นักเรียนระดับ ม.ปลาย จากกลุ่มเล็กๆ จนขยายเป็นกลุ่มใหญ่ และในที่สุดจึงเปิดคอร์สเรียนสำหรับนักเรียน ม.ปลายพร้อมหนังสือ Farosebook ที่เขียนขึ้นเพื่อรวบรวมแนวข้อสอบจำนวนมาก ด้วยประสบการณ์การติวสอบหลายปี พี่ฟาจึงสามารถออกแบบเนื้อหาในการเรียนให้เหมาะกับน้องๆ ม.ปลาย และมีวิธีการสอนที่ทำให้การเรียนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นเรื่องสนุก โดยเน้นให้นักเรียนเข้าใจและคุ้นเคยกับการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษมากกว่าการท่องจำอย่างไร้เหตุผล จากเสียงตอบรับที่ดีมากในคอร์สแรก ทำให้ขนาดห้องเรียนของพี่ฟาเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็วเป็นห้องละ 120 คน และเต็มทุกรอบที่เปิดสอน ภายในระยะเวลาแค่ 6 เดือน

การสอนภาษาอังกฤษในห้องเรียนขนาดใหญ่เป็นเวลา 3 ปีและการได้เห็นความสำเร็จของน้องๆในการสอบเข้ามหาวิทยาลัยเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้พี่ฟาอยากเปิดสถาบันสอนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นของตัวเอง ทว่าในขณะเดียวกันก็ต้องการเพิ่มพูนความรู้ในวิชาชีพก่อน จึงตัดสินใจเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาโท สาขาภาษาศาสตร์และการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ (Linguistics and English Language Teaching) ณ University of Leeds สหราชอาณาจักร โดยเลือกทำวิทยานิพนธ์เกี่ยวกับการเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษของเด็กไทย งานวิจัยของพี่ฟาชี้ว่าวิธีการบางอย่างที่เด็กไทยใช้เรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษส่งผลเสียต่อความสามารถทางภาษาในระยะยาว พี่ฟาจึงได้แนวคิดใหม่ๆ มาปรับปรุงการสอน ที่นอกจากจะช่วยให้นักเรียนทำข้อสอบได้แล้ว ยังสามารถใช้ภาษาอังกฤษได้จริง ไม่ใช่เพียงแค่การท่องจำเพื่อนำไปสอบ เพราะภาษา คือเครื่องมือที่มนุษย์ใช้ในการสื่อสาร

ทั้งหมดนี้จึงเป็นที่มาของฟาโรส อะคาเดมี่ สถาบันสอนภาษาอังกฤษเล็กๆ ที่อยากให้นักเรียนทั้งทำข้อสอบได้และใช้ภาษาได้จริง ด้วยเนื้อหาเข้มข้นและลีลาการสอนเฉพาะตัวที่ยังคงสนุกเพลิดเพลินตามคำบอกเล่าของนักเรียน ม.ปลาย จากรุ่นสู่รุ่น



From a young age, Farose has always been passionate about language learning. He started out educating himself by watching Walt Disney films. Throughout his years at school he always achieved excellent scores in his English courses. Whilst at high school, he entered the French program, leading to him taking the French Government Scholarship examination in which he came third out of hundreds of students all over the country. Later, he attended Chulalongkorn University in the Faculty of Arts, where he majored in Spanish, and graduated with second class honors. During his second year at university, he started tutoring high school students in English; it was here that the number of his students quickly grew from a handful to a roomful. Eventually, he decided to launch a course for high school students along with Farosebook, an English textbook designed with years of experience to ensure that the content would be optimum for high school students. Thanks to his teaching techniques – aimed at putting the fun back into English language learning and his emphasis on understanding how to really use the language rather than just memorising lists of words and rules, the course became a smash hit. Within a period of merely 6 months, his classes had to offer up to 120 seats to be able to accommodate all of his students – and they were always fully booked.

Having spent three years of teaching large classes and witnessing the successes of his students in entering their dream universities, Farose was inspired to start his own language academy. However, he desired to accumulate more knowledge before undertaking this huge step to ensure his students would get only the best. Therefore, he decided to pursue an M.A. in Linguistics and English Language Teaching at the University of Leeds in England, where he devoted his dissertation to Thai students’ vocabulary acquisition. He discovered that some of the learning strategies that Thai students had been using (and are still using now) seem to do more harm in the long run, than they did good. With his horizons broadened and new visions in his pocket, Farose returned home with innovative teaching techniques. It is these techniques that will not only help students ace all kinds of examinations, but also enable them to use English in the real world – a skill that Farose truly believes in, after all language is a necessary and important communication tool.

So that is how Farose Academy came to be born! His small yet competent language academy is now ready to let you in on all the techniques needed to conquer any exam, whilst remaining committed to equipping you with the ability to use English in real-world contexts.
